FINTECH / How Open Banking and Blockchain shape our financial future?

KEYNOTE

Today, open banking and blockchain are considered to be a game changer in the finance sector. Blockchain technology has gained popularity in banking. Consumers require trust when it comes to sensitive financial data and many do not believe in third-party providers. So, open banking model and blockchain technology are a solution for that trust issue as they offer greater transparency compared to the more secretive traditional banking sector. However, blockchain is expected to revolutionize the banking and finance industry but it’s not a universal solution. The technology must always solve problems. It is completely irrelevant if you cannot reconcile it with your business model.

By sharing the basic knowledge we will in the future see solutions from a much broader spectrum than today. People who take the course are of all ages and different backgrounds and industries. Janina believes that we all should understand the basics of AI in order to understand what our future looks like and to make everyone a part of creating the future.

In one year the number of smart speakers in US homes grew 78%. The smart speaker adoption in the US has now reached one-quarter of the whole population – it is not a novelty anymore!  But the smart speaker is just a gateway into what could really create value for your business – or disrupt it if left unchecked – voice recognition technology and conversational AI. Bonnier News Next will show you what voice technology could mean for the media industry and give examples on how to excel in this new field.

PANEL DISCUSSION

Smallness and overpowering state of mind might be something that many business leaders facing when coming closer and closer the digital transformation. It’s 2019 and digitalization is for many organisations already ”business as usual”. Digitalization might be the norm, but what comes with it, is equally disruption, and to survive we need new business models and a cultural shift to become more agile. No matter if you’re in the business of burying people, sell power tools or work in the regulated world of medicine, there’s a digital journey ahead of you, riddled with pitfalls, uncertainty and most likely a technological heritage preventing you from moving forward.

In this panel you’ll hear from companies in the midst of the digital journey; companies with war stories of failure, long overdue projects and seemingly unsolvable challenges. The panel presents different viewpoints of the same problems.

CIRCULAR ECONOMY / Saving the Planet: One Digital Solution at a time

KEYNOTE

What role can digital technology play in the transformation to more sustainable and circular businesses?

Digital processes are becoming the standard rather than the exception and technology gives us the capacity to create solutions that can radically change the way our businesses are run. That is why digitalization is crucial to use to enable the transformation to a circular economy. The circular economy rethinks our current economic model that is based on maximizing throughput. In contrast, the circular model focuses on prolonging the lifetime of products, reducing the amount of waste and reducing the use of new resources. With the circular economy follows new business opportunities for innovative business models, new revenue streams, new processes and new value-propositions.

INTERVIEW

Great leadership has always been an essential reason why some companies deliver exceptional results, while others do not. However, success in tomorrow’s reality calls for new leadership principles. Due to the speed of innovation in the digital world society and business conditions are changing faster than ever before. A successful leader must be able to manage constant change and thrive with an element of uncertainty. This requires increased clarity in terms of strategic direction, trust in people’s ability to find the best way and courage to unleash the potential of the organization.

In the digital future, a new type of leadership is needed. A kind of leadership that is willing to do away with detailed plans, performance management, an outdated practice in which management was focused on getting people to do repetitive tasks to perfection in order to maximize efficiency. Constant renewal is needed in order to stay relevant and continue to win in the market.
